Armando Anthony "Chick" Corea (1941–2021) was an influential piano and keyboard player, and a pivotal figure in jazz fusion.

Chick Corea

When jazz and rock started talking pretty to each other, Chick Corea was right there to embrace the electrifying new opportunities. Corea got his start as Herbie Hancock’s replacement in Miles Davis’s band, playing on iconic albums like “In a Silent Way” and “Bitches Brew”. As the bandleader of Return to Forever, Chick Corea and his signature style helped shape the jazz-rock era. Later he collaborated extensively with Herbie Hancock, and formed a second influential group, Elektric Band and Elektric Band II.
