Tank and The Bangas is an innovative American R&B group formed in New Orleans, Louisiana. Led by charismatic vocalist Tarriona "Tank" Ball, the band's music blends elements of soul, funk, hip-hop, and spoken word.
Tank And The Bangas gained national attention after winning NPR's Tiny Desk Contest in 2017, and their Tiny Desk performance was a triumph of dynamic energy, poetic storytelling and compact arrangements. Their debut album “Green Balloon” on Verve found critical acclaim with its genre-defying sound and Ball’s vocal dexterity. Their follow up album “Red Balloon” saw the band continue to develop their own unique style within contemporary jazz and soul.
